Teacup lamps by Ceramics lighting designer Gregory Bonasera is just my cup tea! I collect tea sets and cups so this gives me a wonderful idea to add more tea sets without really taking up more space in my display cabinet. I’m not really good with electrical stuff, though, so, maybe I should just pass on that.  Anyway, check out Bonasera’s other works , including ceramic bones for your living room or doctor’s office. These teacups are all vintage tea cups, so no two are alike.

Check out these spiny, bony heels by DSquared ! This charters into Alexander McQueen territory. I think the black shoe and white heel makes it look weird… I think it would be cooler if it was all bone color or all black or all gold. Actually, gold would be pimpin’! This is when the ghetto in me comes out. I love gold and I don’t care what anyone says! Who cares if gold looks like you just picked it up from the corner pawn shop? Or if it looks like it belongs on an Arab sheikh’s toilet? It’s gold, right? There was a time when I didn’t like gold, then Flava Fav happened to me. Fight the Power!

Those gowns are beyond gorgeous. If I had that gown, I would wear it everyday. Like food shopping, to the post office, the dentist, you name it! It resembles bones and is bone color, which I find awesome. Givenchy only had 12 looks in this collection, but they are all beautiful. I’m totally for quality , not quantity.

Bones also resonated in the Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2010 Haute Couture show- Check out Dita von Teese with a corset by Mr. Pearl with accurate bone detailing… so chilling, it’s cool! I’ll take two, JPG!

octopus-necklace-500x649snail-necklace-500x649fishhead-necklace-500x649bone-necklace-500x629

Nothing says sexy like an octopus hanging from your clavicle! Designer Dominc Jones made these jewelry inspired by animals and stuff. You may remember him from those gloves he made with the fingernails attached to it. Epic, if you ask me. Anyway, this was from a shoot at Vice Magazine, in case you’re wondering. The snail necklace must be the most uncomfortable to wear. I bet it feels like leeches, all slimy and stuff. That necklace wouldn’t last in house since my husband eats snails. He’d be like, “Mmmmm, appetizers!” and snatch it off my neck- no joke. The fish heads are pretty gnarly to. It’s totally staring back at you saying, “why you gotta be like that?”.

This is some very gruesome couture by British menswear designer Katie Eary for her Spring 2010 collection. If someone wore this on October 31, I’d think they are the bomb! But if they wore this on November 1, I’d think they’re a lunatic. Why are my eyes drawn to the fur? Fur on a man is like heels on a baby– not right!  You have to appreciate that it’s anatomically correct (I assume). Sort of like this be@rbrick. If Chewbacca were a pimp , this Gold Ghetto Chewbacca would be beyond perfect. Check out Katie’s website- I actually love the union jack trousers and the British guard look. Hawt!

Tomorrow is my most favorite holiday ever! Why? Because it’s the only day in the year where no one points, stares or laughs at me! Sooooo………Happy Halloween!

Christian Lacroix’s Spring 2009 fashion show featured accessories of the bony type. Is it a hommage to the anorexic look that has taken over images of fashion or is it just in time for halloween? Who knows and who cares! They’re supercool! However, I wouldn’t wear like a whole breastplate of it for fear of looking too savage! This could start a new trend of shrunken skulls… savage chic!
