Fur Fur‘s Spring 2011 Collection was a plethora of BOWS!!!! You may already know that the world and time stops infinitely for me when I see a Bow on a head or dress because I just love them so! It’s like when Mr. Marmar hears the shake of the snackums bag. He freezes and then pitter patters towards the snack like he’s denying he’s been OWNED by a lousy snack bag. Then he gobbles everything up in 10 seconds.Cat snacks aside, Fur Fur has introduced an adorable collection of Snoopy (or Snooby!), BOWS and that hairdo from the 1960s that you can recreate on Yearbook Yourself. I love love love this collection! Check out Japan Streets for cool photos from the Japanese streets and local fashion shows.

Moschino Spring 2011, of course! I’m kinda liking this collection- the  polka dots, the stripes, the BOWS! The cowboy hat has got to go , though. Seriously, all I can think about is Destiny’s Child. Cheeeeeeze. Anyhow, I can see myself wearing all these outfits. My fave is the last outfit in red and purple polka dots. I think the bows on the collar make the look so dandy. So, the real question is: Would “The Nanny” still wear Moschino?  I have a feeling she would wear this collection, at least. I’m so happy that the Moschino is revived again- it was going through an ‘unfortunate department store’ phase for a while there. Glad to have the high fashion, whimsical look back at Moschino.

For me, Valentino always seemed to be clothes for a lady of a certain age, but this collection proved that wrong. Dainty and feminine, each dress was beautiful and elegant with a touch of avant guard- just the way I like it. My favorites have to be the birdcage dress and the fourth dress. Of course, bows make it all irresistible! I think that birdcage dress is perfect for people with the mysterious case of the ‘sticky fingers’. That has Winona Ryder written all over it, also any toddler.

Unicorns- I looove them! & It's so Flufffeehh! necklaces by I'm Your Present *

Desiree Doll

FancyPack by CarrotCake

On my last trip to Rhode Island, I went to the Indie Arts Festival in Providence one Saturday afternoon. It was like a flashback to the late 90’s for me. There was a rave in a tunnel underneath the street, some gritty bands, (some cool ones, too), vendors serving junk food (YUM!) and some damn good vintage clothes and jewelry shopping! Seriously, it was like every cool store in Providence condensed into one venue. Pretty damn convenient, if you ask me. I came across an AWESOME  Persian cat necklace and unicorn necklace at  I’m Your Present . They love cats as much as do. I love when I meet like-minded people. I also ran into an old friend, Desiree from Desiree Doll. She makes cute, little one-of-a-kind dresses and accessories. Desiree introduced me to a really cool fannypack. It’s called the Fancypack because it’s in the shape of a bow! It’s by Carrotcake and is available in a slew of colors and fabrics. As I had mentioned in earlier posts, bows are like kryptonite to me, so naturally I ordered one in a Barbie pink. So if you see a crazy red -headed lady covered in bows and a Persian cat necklace pushing a stroller, don’t be frightened, it’s only me.  Anyway, if you ever make your way down to Rhode Island be sure to check out The Curatorium on Wickendon Street. They have the coolest useless stuff. Like, it’s stuff you don’t need but want. Nothing wrong with that. But if you don’t make it out to the smallest state in the union, you can always shop at all of the stores’ Etsy  shops and websites.

You may remember Alexis Mabille from here and here.  The only two looks I liked from this collection were these two looks above. I like the feminine, foufy-ness of it. And it had bows, which is like kryptonite to me. I’m especially digging the layers of tulle on the sleeve. I wonder if I take my old ballet tutus and wrap it around my arms if it’ll look as good as that. Probably not. I’d most likely be mistaken for Bobby Trendy.

Here is Part 2 of my favorites from UK’s Graduate Fashion Week 2010. The first photo reminds me Victor & Rolf, which I adore. The third and fourth photos look like straight up aliens. And the last four photos are wonderfully fun and childish, which I find appealing AND there are lots of Bows- yay! Love the robot tights and Pinocchio skirt, although her sweater looks like a fungus of some sort. I’d wear it.

Check out French designer Benoit Missolin hair accessories! They are just adorable! I’m a chronic headband -and- bow-wearer so this is just right up my alley. I think the pink leopard is especially cool. I would wear the red foofy headband for dusting. Who needs a Swiffer Duster, anyway? Check out his online shop for more goodies!
