Here is an old suit I found at a thrift store years ago. It’s yellow with white teeny tiny polka-dots and it’s a light cotton. Great summer suit. I thought the original buttons were lame, so I glued on candy cabochons to the buttons! They totally livened up the suit! The popsicle pins were originally cupcake toppers ( I ate the cupcakes) that I took and put a pin the back to make a brooch. Since finding shoes to match a yellow suit is a little tough, I took a pair of cheap heels and spray painted them with Simply Spray fabric spray in yellow and then I added ice cream cone cabochons to the bow. Voila! I’m ready for the Willy Wonka tour!

*By the way, sorry for the poor quality photos- I was on the lookout for bedbugs at my hotel in NYC. Seriously!

Above is a vintage Moschino Cheap & Chic dress that is half mannequin and half suit. I wore that for a series of interviews for ‘Machete’. The little mouse pin (moosh!) is actually nibbling on a Chanel symbol. It’s one of my prized possessions.

Below is my outfit for my interviews for Jackass 3D. I decided to take along my Kidrobot buddy, Munny by Tarina Tarantiono. Isn’t he cute!?!  *Excuse my messy messy bed.

Below is an extraordinary bathtub I saw in Soho in NYC. It was in a showroom and is made of little tiny sparkling gold mosaics! The water flows from the top of the heel. That is friggin’ Epic!!! I would not only take a bath in that, but I would move into that tub! I would be the old lady that lived in a shoe and was actually clean!

Anyway, I thought I’d share these random tidbits with you- It’s good to take a break from all the fashion week stuff! Whew!

Here are the latest clever and pretty artwork from Andrea Kett. Glamorous ghouls, candy, jewels, cakes, and a few bloody limbs here and there make for  fantastic Halloween decor. I love the tongue-in-cheek humor in all of Kett’s work. “Sorry to hear you’re feeling rotten” -hhahahahaha! That’s something Hannibal Lector would say- polite, with a tinge of manic. The colorful costumes and pouty killer ladies make it even better.  Click here to see my past post of Kett’s work.Visit her Etsy shop for more artwork  available in three sizes. Fabulous!

Happy Halloween!!! My most favorite holiday ever!! Make sure the treats keep coming and the tricks keep their STDs to themselves! Hahaha- the only day where you can take candy from strangers. Not right…. but oh sospecial!!

Katy Perry is seen above with Rome-ing Panda‘s gummy bear brass knuckles. These are pretty badass is you ask me! My son adores gummy bears so he would totally try to eat them. Not good. I collect those gummy bear glass jars from the hotel room’s minibar and put spices in them. My goal is to have a uniform spice rack of all gummy bear jars. I think I can do it. Anyway, the obsession continues with a matching necklace and of course, Gummy Bear Lights for your nightstand. If you really, really , like REALLY love gummy bears, take a peek at their anatomy. And gummy bear violence. Or a Gummy Bear flipping the bird.  Or finally, an Absinthe Gummy Bear!

The illustrious Hasty and Jacques Torres

Hasty Torres and me

Nestled in the heart of Beverly Hills lies a magical boutique selling everything chocolate! Madame Chocolat is an enchanted chocolate boutique owned and run by Hasty Torres, wife of chocolate wizard Jacques Torres. Each of Hasty’s chocolate creations are delectable and beautiful than the other. Coming in all shapes, sizes and flavors, chocolates are produced in small batches for every occasion and holiday. For Bastille Day, chocolate Eiffel Tower ranging from small to large were produced in honor of the French celebration. Solid or hollow chocolate high heels, handbags, sunglasses, watches, cigars, and almost everything in between are available for any sweet tooth. Not only are the shapes impressive, but the flavors are unique in its own. Over 21 variations of white, dark and milk chocolate, including a Grand Marnier-infused ganache, fresh raspberry ganache, champagne ganache (known as the ‘Champagne Kiss” *swoon*) exist in this lovely chocolate heaven. The extreme attention to detail of the packaging, the product itself, and the gorgeous French 16th century decor give even Fauchon and Lenotre a run for its money. Even the massive chandelier has the Madame Chocolat logo hanging throughout the chandelier. That’s damn exquisite, if you ask me.

Hasty was gracious to let us into her factory and showed us the process of making haute chocolate. The chocolate is constantly churning to keep from hardening and is ready for impromptu drizzles or a full-fledged production of bon-bons and truffles. Each chocolate takes at least two days to make! After sampling a bunch of chocolates, I left the store with a smile on my face, a sense of luxury( I was channeling Mr. Marmar) and a major sugar high. ( Not sure if that’s the best combo for driving-hahaha). Be sure to try some of your favorite childhood candies and cookies dipped in chocolate, like Cheerios, Oreos, Rice Krispies and of course, marshmallow s’mores. Madame Chocolat not only serves chocolates, but also ice cream, tea, coffee, iced drinks, croissants and cookies.  Custom orders are available and nationwide shipping is available. Be sure to say, Haaaaaaaay‘ to the lovely Hasty for me- she’s a doll!

Oslo designer Fam Irvoll is just my cup of tea! This fine lady (the ravishing fellow bottle -ginge above) names Alice in Wonderland, cakes, candies, cartoons and toys her inspiration for her wacky collections and 3D knitwear. Fam and I are cut from the same cloth! We could actually be twin sisters separated at birth!  Anyway, I am drooling over the 3D mouse sweater. It has an entourage of rats on the shoulder, sort of like Crispin Glover in Willard. That movie is my mantra, by the way. That and Ratatouille. What I love about this collection is that it’s so whimsical and cute! Lucky for me, she has an online store…
