British designer Matthew Harding has a wonderful sense of structure in his latest collection. It’s fluffy and  rigid at the same time. It makes me want to snuggle my face into the fabric like it was Mr. Marmar after a kitty spa day. I also really like the column of white silky tubes- although it reminds me of a Charmin toilet paper roll. There’s something galactic about those ensembles that appeals to me. I’ve been on a Star Wars marathon lately, thanks to my 5 year old son and I have a new sense of appreciate for the costumes, especially the later Star Wars movies. Anyway, Matthew Harding is definitely one to watch.

Betsey Johnson always knows how to make fun clothes. Seriously, after trolling through each show online  at NY Fashion Week , Betsey Johnson was pretty much the only one that I would wear. She marches to her own tune- or shall I say bikes to her own tune (are those training wheels?)… Her collection was inspired by bicyclists, The Love Boat (I’m guessing) and her usual flowered frocks that are pretty timeless. This time some of her frocks came in a suit or playsuit of the same fabric. Matchy-Match! I love it! My favorite is the ‘sherbet’ tutu dress- it looks so yummy! I like how Betsey maintains here signature girly look with timeless silhouettes and colorful fabrics. That’s the way Spring should bloom!

PS- If you are an aspiring model, check out this cool new site, Model Management with a list of  model agencies around the world. They have a Fresh Faces contest, listings for photographers, and castings. You can also upload your own modeling portfolio and make your own profile that is searchable by over 300 modeling agencies. Just no duck faces! Ahahahah- kidding…. they might actually like that.

Spanish designer Manuel Bolano gave us bears and geniously constructed silhouettes in his latest collection. I love love love the bears, but they are teetering on looking like a tumor. It’s not a tumor!

Anyway, the shoulders are fantastic in the second and fourth photos- they are definitely something I would wear! The bowl cut’s are a little FUG, though. It looks like the infamous Peter Pan dude here. Anyway, I think Manuel is one to watch, but I’m not sure why his website is a Myspace and Facebook page. Dude needs to get a sponsor STAT so he can get a decent website up and running. He totally deserves it.
