British designer Matthew Harding has a wonderful sense of structure in his latest collection. It’s fluffy and  rigid at the same time. It makes me want to snuggle my face into the fabric like it was Mr. Marmar after a kitty spa day. I also really like the column of white silky tubes- although it reminds me of a Charmin toilet paper roll. There’s something galactic about those ensembles that appeals to me. I’ve been on a Star Wars marathon lately, thanks to my 5 year old son and I have a new sense of appreciate for the costumes, especially the later Star Wars movies. Anyway, Matthew Harding is definitely one to watch.

As a huge fan of ‘Alice in Wonderland’  and also a huge fan of Tim Burton’s work, the two combined is just  phenomenal! I was lucky enough to see the props and the costumes of this classic tale. Beautifully detailed costumes and fantastically created props lend that special charm that makes Tim Buton’s films so memorable and quirky. Only thing is we have to wait until March 2010 to see these costumes come to life by way of Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and Anne Hathaway.

Here are some of my favorite photos from this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. I always get excited going to Comic-Con , mainly because I love to see everyone’s fupe outfits. Although, I do enjoy the designer vinyl toy shops like, KidRobot, Giant Robot and Munky King. See tomorrow’s post for cool, collectible dolls unveiled at Comic-Con.

Until then…..Enjoy!

and here I am! (dressed for the Tim Burton “Alice in Wonderland” press conference!)
