I was so inspired by this post I wrote not too long ago that I had to make it myself. Also, I wasn’t going to pay $300 for a shirt ( that’s so 90’s). So, I whipped out my Simply Spray fabric paint and went to town on a couple of Old Navy cotton shirts I bought for like $3 each. And so if I effed up, I wouldn’t feel too bad because the shirts are a price of a cup of tea. And so I was ready to go NUTS! I sprayed the paint onto a paper plate and brush the paint on to the shirt as if I was an artiste. My cats were sniffing around the paint area intrigued by my spontaneous paint-a-thon. Then they ran around crazy for an hour. Hmmmm. Anyway, they dried pretty fast when I set them out in the sun (about 30 minutes). My fave out of the bunch is the white cardigan with the Chanel-style camellia and pearls. Alas, now I can look like a cartoon and I can still go to the spa!

Come with me into this fantasy suite and prepare to get relaxed, pampered and beautified…

Relaxation at the DPA gifting suite is part of the luxury package. Massages by THE MASSAGE EXPRESS were set up to get the tangles and twists out of the guests. For men only, FLOYD’S 99 BARBERSHOP offered grooming services right inside the suite. For the ladies and metrosexuals, high-toned manicures by NETTIE SCRUB were provided. The famous New York spa, SPHATIKA, offered in house treatments and the introduction of their sensational skincare line utilizing the elixir of quartz crystal.

Beautification is the cornerstone of the pampered. High definition makeup and skincare by Japan’s KohGenDo was available for guests wanting to experience makeup perfect for high definition TV and film. Those craving lush lashes, eyelash extensions were offered by LONG MI LASHES. For that womanly scent, ‘Jus d’amour’ by PARFUMS MERCEDES were gifted in fetching sterling silver bottles.

Of course, the beautification continues with adorning your body with jewels and garments. One-of-a-kind evening dresses by SODALISCIOUS, casual, slinky dresses by EVA VARRO, all had merchandise on hand ready to dress anyone at a moment’s notice. Other garments at the DPA suite included French underwear designer PULL-IN, ANNA KOSTUROVA’S sexy swimwear, whimsical English knitwear and crochet designer DOMAKAYA, German luxury hosiery FALKE, and CHARLOTTE TARANTOLA (be sure to check out her darling Disney collection). ENERGETIX offered healing magnet therapy jewelry and Canadian jewelry designer FEENIEBEADIE with beautiful Swarovski crystals, silver and semi precious stones. To keep the flashing bulbs from blinding you, grab a pair of MARCHON sunglasses – my favorite? The gorgeous multi colored PUCCI sunglasses.

For unwinding after the festivities included soft and supple silk loungewear and bedding by KUMI KOOKOON. This was incredibly stunning and exquisite. Hong Kong’s MingCha TEA gifted the most amazing ‘blossoming’ tea fit for royalty served by the most charming lady, Vivian Mak.

Guests traveling to New York City must venture to Harlem for a new, experimental retailer called SWING. With exclusive items from around the world, you can find the very best and rare items from music to house-wares to accessories- all under on roof.

The most coveted gift in the DPA suite (also a DPA staple) was a one week stay at the ultra-luxurious French Polynesian resort, PEARL RESORTS and LE TAHAA private island and ST. REGIS BORA BORA. The lucky recipients of this premier resort can enjoy the serene sun, crystal blue waters, and five star service and accommodations that will be memorable for a lifetime.

Get Simply Spray! My loveseat was white with a touch of  cat piss here and there and I decided to something about it. Since I am terrible at re-upholstering and also lazy, I decided a spray paint would fit into my schedule. As you can see above, the afternoon of crafts was well worth it! I used about 4 cans of Simply Spray-Poppy Red fabric paint ( apparently, there is one specific for upholstery, but I accidentally used the one for apparel- still came out good!) to do the entire loveseat. It only took me an hour (barely) and dried within a couple hours! I was afraid the red would be like Chinese restaurant red, but it actually came out pink! Pink is my favorite! You’d think the fabric becomes stiff, but it doesn’t. I also went ahead and spray painted the wood gold ( paint for wood) because I’m tacky like that. I am very pleased with the outcome and recommend Simply Spray … I’m going to play around with the other colors for apparel and let you know what kind of fupeness I can come up with. Stay tuned.

Check out Simply Spray’s site– Available at Michael’s and other craft stores.

And…It’s the ONLY non-toxic, non-flammable aerosol fabric paints! That’s cool.

**Simply Spray/Teacups & Couture Giveaway Contest**

The person with the most  retweets (twitter)  of  ANY of my posts (see green retweet button below) between now and September 4 (midnight PST) wins a 6-pack of Simply Spray Black Upholstery Spray. That’s enough to cover the fugliest couch that ever was!

How can I tell who retweeted my posts? Because I’m a hot bitch that knows all. No, because I can see it on the retweet thingy. Once the winner is determined, I will tweet you a message for an address on September 6. I will also announce the winner on September 7th on this blog.

So, start retweeting my posts- for the love of an un-fug couch.
