You may remember Alexis Mabille from here and here.  The only two looks I liked from this collection were these two looks above. I like the feminine, foufy-ness of it. And it had bows, which is like kryptonite to me. I’m especially digging the layers of tulle on the sleeve. I wonder if I take my old ballet tutus and wrap it around my arms if it’ll look as good as that. Probably not. I’d most likely be mistaken for Bobby Trendy.

John Galliano decide to shower us with a bouquet of flowers including the plastic floral wrap. All he was missing was the powdered flower food that no one every uses [insert own drug joke here]. I like how Galliano ignores the “plastic can suffocate for his models. But that’s not important… Take a look at each dress. Each one is a specific species of fleur. My favorite is the black one and the blue/pink gown. Such beauty! As usual, Johnny struck one of his infamous poses at the end and he’s wearing a beekeeper’s hat/veil. So fitting! I can’t hate on a genius. Truly. Viva Dior!

Already a few blogs, including James St. James, has called Chanel’s Haute Couture Fall 2010 show ‘frumpy’. I totally agree. It’s awkward, dowdy and to put plainly, FUG. The only outfit that has a chance with me is the last photo of the blue and gold dress, although even that looks like a table runner at Z Gallerie. I’m a little disappointed in Karl the Kaiser. 😦 However, he does have like 19,684,849 collections a year and one them is bound to fail. I forgive him as long as he promises for Calgon to take him away. At least the runway was fantastic. I wonder how many minions it took to make that massive lion and pearl!

I am sort of liking the half and half look at Alexis Mabille’s show. A far drastic look compared to her last collection, like in this post. I can’t help to think of this when it comes to half and half outfits. Or this (love the facial hair on one side). Anyway, this would be cool to wear when you’re trying to lose someone in a crowd… and the world was two dimensional. This look is sort of cartoony, which is probably why I like it. That wedding dress is definitely for a shotgun wedding, by the way. I didn’t know Alexis was a dude (who looks like he could have been on the bus to Cartagena in Romancing the Stone)  until I saw this photo. I seriously thought it would be a lady as ravishing as this Alexis.

Karl the Kaiser did it again! Friggin’ fantastic collection! The heart hair is what life is all about for me now. I’m still figuring out how to do that to my hair. I totally need to streak my hair with hair mascara! Lagerfeld introduced a pastel range of colors similar to Laduree’s famous (and scrumptious) macaroons. Not a tinge of gold could be found; only silver slivers and specks creating a fresh, modern look to a half century- old classic suit. If I had ten thumbs, they would all be pointing up for Karl Lagerfeld! The groom’s suit is worthy of a nice baked potato at Ponderosa, however.
