And here I am still writing and scratching my ass. These are some ominous masks that can scare the hell out of anyone sane. I guess that’s why I’m not scared. This gem of a collection is belongs to Giulia Pozzuoli from Polimoda, Italy.

Although I can appreciate the actual clothes in the collection, especially the leather jacket with the science fiction shoulders, I just can’t with the masks. It reminds me of that movie, The Strangers, which made me buy 2 extra cell phone chargers and have an irrational fear of burlap bags. Long story short, I will NOT travel to remote areas and always buy basmati rice in a box or paper bag. Anywho, Guilia is a fashion student so she can always do better next time. We’ll still hang this on fridge with the heads cut off.

I think I’ve died and gone to Fran Drescher  (‘The Nanny’) heaven! Maison Moschino Hotel opened recently in Milan and now I totally  have an excuse to go to Milan. I just need to scrounge 300 Euros, which probably $60,987 with all that inflation (that’s totally a discount compared to the Bush-era, by the way). Anyway, the hotel is based on a fairytale dream and is designed to reflect the Moschino style. Super-whimsical and modern simultaneously, this hotel is giving me ideas for my home. Although, I don’t know how the Mr. is gonna feel about sleeping on a giant velvet gown.

I grew up in the cozy state of Rhode Island and wanted to share my favorite places and things in this charming, historic smallest state in the union. Obviously, The Family Guy ranks number one. An artist’s haven, the city of Providence, has many nooks and crannies of cool areas (and FANTASTIC restaurants), including the Italian Federal Hill district. My absolute favorite place to have cake IN THE WORLD is Pastiche. The lemon cake is to die for. Literally. I have devised many attempts to have this cake Fedex-ed to me in California, but all failed. So, I gorged myself with Pastiche’s yummy cakes for one week straight.

Be sure to check out Diva’s Palace, a very hip boutique with some vintage and gorgeous in-house designs. The store front itself is beautifully decorated!

Of course, my trip included a lobster (lobstah) dinner… mine was a lady lobster. How did I know? Because she had a million black eggs in her tummy. Yeah, gross! I scooped out the eggs and ate the lobster anyway, because that’s how much I love lobsters! My 4 year old son was spooked.

So, after a week of clam chowda, Del’s lemonade, Pastiche, Italian cold cuts, and more ( when I say more, I didn’t have enough time for everything!)- I think my body’s ready for the Californian detox: fruits, smoothies, sushi, and a Korean spa! I’m already thinking about my next trip back….

PS- Be sure to check out The Roger Williams Park Zoo during the month of October. A spectacular evening display of hundreds of intricately carved  pumpkins line a trail located near a breathtaking lake. Also, Waterfire is a must see in downtown Providence!

But on your Butt. Uggghhh! I find this so tacky and cheezy. I expect a day shift stripper from Bada- Bing to actually do this to themselves. Nothing says class like a heart tan/tattoo on your bum. I personally don’t tan. Yes, I’m pasty white and proud. My motto is “Do you see tan models in Vogue?”  ( the answer is no, unless you’re Gisele) and “I don’t want to look like a smoked trout” . That usually wards off people prying into why I refuse to tan. Anyway, if you’d still like to commit this fashion crime, it will set you back 40 Euros or like 500 US dollars with all this inflation. Sorry, I’m too lazy to convert that.
