This is season the avant-garde designer had safaris, old cartoons, and aviation on his mind. It’s like vintage Moschino was reincarnated as Jean-Charles Castelbajac , which is a compliment to say the least. I’m digging the zebra shoulders, and Felix the Cat print (although those pajama pants need to go) and the trench coat/dress. I’m not sure if The Little Prince is popular in the US, but it is in Europe, so somewhere it’ll be a cool outfit. Of course, my favorite has to be the sunglasses vest. Kinda reminds me of that statue in Soho with multiple boobs.  Anyway, I still like the Castelbajac ode to The Muppets collection better.

Kitty Keay is still in fashion school, but her designs look like they belong to a veteran fashion designer. Part Irregular Choice and part Jean-Charles Castelbajac, Kitty Keay marries cute with elegant, flawlessly. You can’t do wrong with pastels and bears in my book. I’m especially loving the fringe jumpsuit! So fun, yet chic! Fringe is fun to wear especially if you’re moving around a lot. The carwash effect is the best. I’m keeping my eye on Kitty because it’s like she’s inside my brain. That’s kinda hard- my eye on her while she’s in my brain. Anyway, what I mean is she’s definitely one to watch because she has great taste!

I know whenever Jean-Charles Castelbajac shows a collection, it’s sure to be fan-friggin’-tastic! I mean, a lego fashion show, Muppet-mania… what else can he do to win my childlike heart? BAMBI, wurd! My love for Bambi came around the time I started going potty by myself, but I still get a flutter in my tummy when I see the doe-eyed deer (did I just say deer twice?). Anyway, as you may know, anything involving a forest full of woodland creatures wins my vote! Especially, cartoony ones. Although the silver outfit above is also winning my heart. Having said that, I’m craving baked potatoes.

PS- Why doesn’t Style.com have any of Castelbajac’s collections online?? Seriously, they’d better RECOGNIZE!
