Shoe designer Benoit Méléard has worked with Alexander McQueen, Jeremy Scott and Helmut Lang in the past. Next month, he will be releasing a line shoes fit for that any drag queen or working geisha. No. Only two of his shoes from the collection look like that. The rest are pretty much normal, except for a strangely placed strap or two- which reminds me of the time wear I had to use medical tape found in my car’s first aid kit to save a broken sole. It was white tape, so it looked so odd on one pair of shoe, so I had to put it on the other shoe to make it look uniform. Mending things the ghetto way is almost second nature to me. Take for example the time the handle of my purse broke and I used a paperclip to refasten it- (it broke again moments later). Just call me the MacGruber of Fashion.

Anywho, those wood circle heels could totally double as chopping boards…Choppin’ brocc-o-li!

Jeremy Scott is probably the most “mainstream” avant guard you’ll get at New York’s Fashion Week. I really like him for that and I enjoyed his last collection, as well. Jeremy took those icky, but almost iconic plastic bags and cleverly turned them around into chic tank tops and dresses. I love how he changed up the “thank you” bags. I threw in one for the boysssss- “No sale is ever Final” written in blood…. awesome. Lady Gaga should have thought about this meat dress (photo 4)- at least she could have worn this for more than an hour and no e. coli- Yay!

And the bride for the straightjacket… perfect for THIS reality show. Overall, Yay! for Jeremy!!

Jeremy Scott and  Linda Farrow have teamed up with these sunglasses in the shape of old TV’s. This is beyond geeky and I kinda like it. I wonder if you can get cable with that. Ha Ha. I’ll stop right there. In all seriousness, this is very Devo.  I’ve been liking Jeremy Scott’s stuff lately, especially this collection. Let’s hope he keeps it up … You can find these bad boys at  Opening Ceremony. Here’s some Devo to start your day off…

Although he has done collaborations here and there, Jeremy Scott made a comeback after 7 years with this Fall 2010 collection that echoed NYC street wear with clever, tongue and cheek details. This collection reminded me a little of Moschino back in ‘The Nanny‘ days. That’s a good thing. The cardboard cut-outs are brilliant, except I would paste a picture of a tabloid sweetheart on the head of the silhouette. Why? Because it’s damn funny. I wonder how you sit in that…. how does that work? For that hanger dress, you need your own personal Farnsworth Bentley to carry that around for you… or if you’re trying to save some bucks in this crappy economy, I guess you could  hang it from your ponytail. The main thing is Jeremy’s back.

Happy Persian New Year to all the Persian cats (and people)!

jeremy-scott-x-opening-ceremony-t-shirt-01 jeremy-scott-x-opening-ceremony-t-shirt-03

To celebrate this month’s opening store in Tokyo, Opening Ceremony has teamed up with Jeremy Scott for some truly (troll-y) effed up stuff. Lucky for us, this atrocity is limited edition…. it’s a shirt with a Madonna-ized troll on the front and “Troll or Dare- World Tour” on the back. I think Jeremy may have been roaming Venice Beach listening to ‘Vogue’ after watching a marathon of ‘Full House‘. (insert Olsen twins joke here). Why does this shirt remind me of this? Anyway, I used to collect those trolls when I was a kid. I had every color and tried to tie them together by their hair to form a circle for no good reason. Hey, I didn’t say I was a Mensa member.

So, start retweeting my posts- for the love of an un-fug couch.

OriginalFake and  KAWS

Chocolate, vanilla and strawberry are the new flavors of Kaws’ OriginalFake “Warm Regards” toys. Makes a great gift for a kid or a dog or just because…

Coca-Cola and Nathalie Rykiel

Nathalie Rykiel, daughter of Sonia and creative director of the Maison, signed a new version of Coca Cola Light’s famous 25cl aluminum bottle. Exclusive at Colette.

Adidas Originals and  Jeremy Scott

Adidas Originals gets together again with Los Angeles based designer, Jeremy Scott, for a men’s and women’s collection featuring winged sneakers and panther hoodies. Awesome. The winged sneakers remind me the winged shoulder bag from As Four (now Three As Four). I googled it but, couldn’t find a photo…. When you had it over your shoulder , it looked like you had an angel’s wing… it was cool and hard to find…

These Beethoven rings and necklaces are soooo RAD! They are by Ambush ( one of the members of Teriyaki Boyz )available at Fruition. I am a huge of busts! Like not lady busts, but like busts that are made out of marble or plaster… I think it looks so old school posh- Like Thurston Howell the Third- ish. I have a few busts in my home, they were Sal’s Boutique finds.   I threw in some Jeremy Scott perfect for lounging in your home study/ library. My library happens to be the public library, though.
