I stumbled upon this store on Etsy that writes the jokes by itself. Let’s take a gander, shall we?

“Necklace made out of hazelnuts, felted wool, goat hair, guitar string, silver.”- $300 by Art by Winona

Translation:  Necklace made out of found objects at the bottom of a 1996 Ford Escort trunk after a skanky weekend at Burning Man.

This is a felted whoo-ha for sale. Because we all need a replica of our whoo-ha sitting on our dressing table to remind us what it looks like. The bead gives a nice touch of herpes simplex, possibly caught during that skanky weekend at Burning Man.

You can choose any stage of venereal disease ( I mean, color) that suits your taste. My personal favorite is the blue-ish purple whoo-ha. That must be a replica for those strangling their va-jayjays with g-strings day in and day out. Or it belongs to a Smurfette.

And the venereal disease theme echoes through the rest of Art by Winonas Etsy shop with this polyp-y, green pottery. I love when a collection comes together full circle!

Unicorns- I looove them! & It's so Flufffeehh! necklaces by I'm Your Present *

Desiree Doll

FancyPack by CarrotCake

On my last trip to Rhode Island, I went to the Indie Arts Festival in Providence one Saturday afternoon. It was like a flashback to the late 90’s for me. There was a rave in a tunnel underneath the street, some gritty bands, (some cool ones, too), vendors serving junk food (YUM!) and some damn good vintage clothes and jewelry shopping! Seriously, it was like every cool store in Providence condensed into one venue. Pretty damn convenient, if you ask me. I came across an AWESOME  Persian cat necklace and unicorn necklace at  I’m Your Present . They love cats as much as do. I love when I meet like-minded people. I also ran into an old friend, Desiree from Desiree Doll. She makes cute, little one-of-a-kind dresses and accessories. Desiree introduced me to a really cool fannypack. It’s called the Fancypack because it’s in the shape of a bow! It’s by Carrotcake and is available in a slew of colors and fabrics. As I had mentioned in earlier posts, bows are like kryptonite to me, so naturally I ordered one in a Barbie pink. So if you see a crazy red -headed lady covered in bows and a Persian cat necklace pushing a stroller, don’t be frightened, it’s only me.  Anyway, if you ever make your way down to Rhode Island be sure to check out The Curatorium on Wickendon Street. They have the coolest useless stuff. Like, it’s stuff you don’t need but want. Nothing wrong with that. But if you don’t make it out to the smallest state in the union, you can always shop at all of the stores’ Etsy  shops and websites.

Yum!! Nothing’s better after a crappy day than PB & J! I, personally, don’t like the J (elly). I like mine plain jane. My other half is from Europe and thinks peanut butter is the nastiest thing. I think it’s the “sticking to the roof of the mouth” issue. But no matter what,  you can celebrate PB & J with a tasty wallet and a crafty cake mold! Both are available for cheap at Fred Flare.

And if you’re really crazy for PB&J… here’s a PB& J Pizza.. or the Mona Lisa in PB & J…. or the PB&J lockett aaaaaaand this nastiness in a jar! (I can picture an old cat lady with cat hair and cat vom everywhere eating that jar.)

So I leave you with this classic below!

Designer Margaux Lange woke up one day and decided to dismember her Barbies and wear them as adornments around her body. Gotta love Marge! This totally reminds me of when I was a youngster and would tear apart Barbies as if I were cannibal preparing for the night’s feast or as if  I were Lauren Conrad and the Barbie was Heidi Montag. Anyway, I love this however, because I’m a twisted soul, I would dab a bit of red nail polish around the the limbs. You know, for a bit of horror. These pieces are around $100-$150 at her Etsy store.

octopus-necklace-500x649snail-necklace-500x649fishhead-necklace-500x649bone-necklace-500x629

Nothing says sexy like an octopus hanging from your clavicle! Designer Dominc Jones made these jewelry inspired by animals and stuff. You may remember him from those gloves he made with the fingernails attached to it. Epic, if you ask me. Anyway, this was from a shoot at Vice Magazine, in case you’re wondering. The snail necklace must be the most uncomfortable to wear. I bet it feels like leeches, all slimy and stuff. That necklace wouldn’t last in house since my husband eats snails. He’d be like, “Mmmmm, appetizers!” and snatch it off my neck- no joke. The fish heads are pretty gnarly to. It’s totally staring back at you saying, “why you gotta be like that?”.

Tithi Kutchamuch’s necklace called “Companion Parrot” allows you to rest the necklace on its ‘body’ when not in use. This is actually really clever if you can put the creepiness aside. I mean, the necklace itself consists of a bird skull, heart and intestines. This could totally freak out a vegetarian. Imagine wearing this to KFC, while eating a bucket of wings. That would be such a savage display! Anyway, I have to give credit where credit is due and say Tithi has some pretty cool ideas. Check out his/her (can’t tell with a name like Tithi!) site for cool design projects that includes tea sets and paper jewelry.

PS- That dude is totally craving fried chicken.

spragwerks teef-clbutcher_p

I came across a site called Spragwerks with all sorts of ‘Tools of the Trade’ cufflinks, jewelry, belts.. you name it! You may ask, ‘What trade are these tools from?” , right? Just nod your head. The trade, my pretty, is butchering something up! Butcher knives, hypodermic needles, bonesaws, yankers, etc. make up the line known as ‘Torture Devices’. I’m a little torn, because if I like it, I’m deemed a psychotic, serial killer weirdo. And if I don’t like it, I find myself boooorrrrring. All I know is if my dentist wore those teeth cufflinks, I would run out the door and hide under my bed for a few days. This would be perfect for that bony ho in Saw…. or a serial killer mouse.
