One thing I love besides bows are POLKA DOTS! Usually I was a little ho-hum about Marc Jacobs, especially since last season’s ugly hippie dresses. But this season he emerged from the patchouli haze and has partially redeemed himself with these cute polka dot berets, 1940’s silhouettes and of course, POLKA DOTS!! So cool, because I already have lots of polka dots in my closet including those exact polka dot stockings I got from Victoria’s Secret a while back. I stocked up on those babies and now is the time to whip them out! My favorite look has got to be the second photo- I love the contrast of the collar, gloves and hat- so 1940’s. Yay for Marc !!

Moschino Spring 2011, of course! I’m kinda liking this collection- the  polka dots, the stripes, the BOWS! The cowboy hat has got to go , though. Seriously, all I can think about is Destiny’s Child. Cheeeeeeze. Anyhow, I can see myself wearing all these outfits. My fave is the last outfit in red and purple polka dots. I think the bows on the collar make the look so dandy. So, the real question is: Would “The Nanny” still wear Moschino?  I have a feeling she would wear this collection, at least. I’m so happy that the Moschino is revived again- it was going through an ‘unfortunate department store’ phase for a while there. Glad to have the high fashion, whimsical look back at Moschino.

London -based designer, Kinder Aggugini’s Spring 2010 collection is perfect! It has vintage flair, fantastic polka dots (so retro!) and a 1950s silhouette that flatters any woman. The Mad-hatter ( or pimp hat)  hats are perfectly in-sync with the Alice in Wonderland – mania that Tim Burton is going to unleash in March 2010. I’m really happy that designers are bringing back some retro designs without the musty, old-lady ass odor attached to actual vintage pieces.  I really appreciate that. I have so many vintage pieces that I have no idea how to wash , and so it stinks and  then, I never wear them because I don’t want to be a ‘Pungent Monet’ ( looks good from afar, but stinks up close as opposed to a ‘Monet‘, which is beautiful from afar , but looks a mess upfront). Anyway, Kinder’s the bomb!
