POOFskirts on Etsy has the gear for that one tacky raver with the binky hanging around her neck. I mean, I’ve been there and done that like a over decade and half ago- so I can’t really hate. Two things come to mind when pom-poms come to mind: Bobby socks and arts & crafts at a daycare. I have a pair of bobby socks with a neon pink pom pom at the ankle. One fell off so it looks like quite pathetic. But I wear it anyway. My son likes to stick googly eyes to large pom poms for a gaggle of fuzzy monsters. I think googly eyes on each pom pom on this skirt could qualify it to be borderline creepy. That may just work to the skirt’s advantage. If you’re about to rave through the night and/or want to entertain small children, this just may be for you.

Starstyling has knack for outrageous styles throughout the years. Anyone that can glitter-up a burka is A-OK in my book. I see hints of rave wear in their collections. I just got a flashback of a teenager with a pacifier and glowstick (that’s not me, although it could have been, once upon a time…!). That fifth photo makes me want to take a snuggly nap in that top. It’s so cozy mozy! I’d wear that on a red-eye flight and brave all the stink-eyes.Check out their site for more crazy stuff.
Lena Hoschek nostalgic designs are perfect for those afternoon yodeling practices and  picnics in the lush Austrian mountains. I love this in every way! Fraulein never looked this hawt! Ya! I’m digging the suspenders. It’s so professor-like.  By the way, in the last photo, has Fraulein lost her shoe?? Is that why she’s the only one smiling. That’s a great shot if it is… I’m keeping my eye on Lena- love the mix of classic and menswear.

Ravensbourne student Marie Moltere designed this collection made with neoprene. In case you didn’t know, neoprene is the thick, stiff, waterproof fabric used for Scuba diving. I have a neoprene jacket and skirt set from Hysteric Glamour . It was during my Raver days. That damn outfit used to make me sweat! But it was killer. So I wore it anyway. These outfits above are kind of cool except for the mushrooms. You either have to be a gnome or a slice of pizza to wear this without looking fupe. Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dum and shrooms were on Moltere’s mind when she designed these. Or something fungal… I’ll stop right there.
