Beijing designer Xiao Li designed this capsule collection inspired by tin robots! Some of may know that I love love love robots and those vintage tin robots are the favorites. I have this tin robot that I attach to my handbag sometimes- it’s even named after me! Hahhaha. I cant’ hate on anything robot related, so I’ll go ahead and give this an A+++++. Even though the fourth photo looks like a busted diaphragm around her neck, I have to appreciate the craftsmanship. This collection reminds of when I would wear an empty hamper when I was kid. Boxy and smelling like sweaty socks. Those shoes are pretty rad if you’re into Bollywood and it’s totally a DIY- lumber jack boots, marbles (or gumballs, if you don’t mind ants), glue gun and you’re good to go.

PS- I did some research and could not find Xiao Li’s official website, but I did find this precious fluffball! Unless, she’s a fluffy panda bear with mad sewing skillz.

2010 AMFI graduate Elise Kim must have been watching this creepy video while designing her  “Blind robots wearing an Ikea lamp shade” collection. Although these pictures make me want to run and hide under the bed, much like that History channel show Ancient Aliens, I still appreciate the intricate design of the tops. Let’s face it, that is some mad origami skillz. So, I wish Elise all the best- she’s a recent graduate so let’s send her off into the real world with an explosive “Dayum! You’ve got skillz!’ confetti.

Here are some stuff worth checking out at Paris boutique, colette. If you’re ever in Paris, be sure to check out this 2 floor haven for all things hip and chic.

1: Snoopy and the Peanuts gang turn 60 this year so Medicom Toy churned out these awesome be@rbricks in celebration. Where’s Pig Pen and his ball of filth?

2: Diamond encrusted robots by House of Qeelin– pretty cool! You can see these gems in the window of colette all month long. It’s like The Jetsons go ghetto fabulous!

3: Watchmaker Nixon and Beastie Boys (one of my favorite bands!) collaborate for a special edition wristwatch with Mike D in his signature cruisewear. Comes in four colors and yes, I’d make him the captain of my Loveboat!

4: Cool hangers by Domestic, designed by Geneviève Gauckler, +41, Leslie David, Iris de Mouy, Antoine + Manuel, Matali Crasset, etc. Perfect for a kid’s room  (or my room)!
