Who knew violins could take so much milage in fashion? Viktor & Rolf did it. Now ThreeAsFour…. I personally like violins and actually have a violin brooch I bought a while back from Etsy. There’s something somber and snobby about the violin… also it can turn quickly into a hillybilly  hoe down if need be. It’s so versatile! Honestly, these violins look out of place on the garment, as if the model is on their way to a gig or something and needed a free hand. That first outfit is perfect for those subway musicians… it’s like one hand plays, one hand collects money. That last dress looks totally like intestines. I rate this collection FUG.

ThreeAsFour’s Fall collection looked like something futuristic superhero would wear on her career days. I think the ‘sliced’ leggings are what makes it look costume-y, which is fine. I can always rely on ThreeAsFour to bring on the fupe -wear. I mean, I love their brand of strange and I find them very creative. This collection needs some color, though. The swampy color-scheme makes it look slightly hideous. The first photo look like a dress made out of Beyonce’s rejected weaves, which would be  very eco-friendly. However, I couldn’t blow up the photo to really see if it was a bunch of Yaki-braids turned couture or just an unusual fabric. Fill me in, if you have the knowledge.

I used to like ThreeAsFour when they were doing angel wing shoulder bags. However, there collection this Fall is just straight up weird. The only thing I like about this collection are the cut pants in the third photo. Those are something Prince would totally wear. ThreeAsFour’s designs are something of another world , more spacey than anything. But, it’s not the designs or cut that make this collection bad, but rather the colors and fabrics. Perhaps fabrics not used frequently by ice skaters would have given this collection more depth.
