Los Angeles -based Beat Up Creations just knows what the public wants- vintage china plates with Gizmo right in the center! This makes tea time such a treat with a bear-faced Marie Antoinette staring back at you through a scatter of scone crumbs! *Swoon*! My favorite has to be the Elizabethan ET or the cat in uniform. Hell! They’re ALL my favorite. Beat Up Creations also does zombie portraits, so make sure to check out their Etsy store. There were seriously too many to post, but they ALL are just lovely and kitschy! Aaaaaand , they are all upcycled. Brilliant work!

Designer Tina Sparkles went ape sh*t will all the wires hanging on the outside of her media center. I would just stuff the wires back under the cabinet and call it a day, but Tina (yes, she *sparkles*!) decide to show those wires who’s boss and made a dress. That’s her tangled in the wires whilst sewing the infamous dress. This was shown at the Keep Austin Beautiful- Recycled Fashion Show . Check out the link for more recylced, upcycled, downcycled,  sidecycled, precycled, ( I’m waiting for a gong.) stuff. Be sure to check out the 6-pack plastic rings and bread tag dress- that’s a whole lot of beers and wonder bread, which is perfect because they’re in Texas. I love how things work out like that.

British designer Robert Bradford made these sculptures out of recycled pieces of toys, plastic junk, buttons, the bread tag that know one knows what to do with, clips and other stuff. I think it’s pretty cool, however, he should include cats in his collection, in my opinion. This is giving me ideas for all the small, tiny toys that my son accumulates from those Kinder Surprise eggs and vending machines. I mean, he has so many that I just dump it into a large cardboard box. Sometimes I see the cats rolling around in it, licking their butt. That can’t be good. One day, I say, that box full of plastic crap will morph into a sculpture for my son’s room.  Thanks, Rob!
