Check out Alberto Guardiani‘s lipstick heel for  $410! It’s badass and you know you want it… I know I want it, but only if the the lipstick was a blade! Like here:

That’s me modeling in Vivienne Westwood shoes and a lipstick knife I picked up at some gun convention. Seriously, I don’t know why I was at a gun convention because I don’t even own a gun. Funny how I ended in random places during my youth! Anyway, that lipstick knife used to go with me everywhere in my pocketbook to ward off any loonies or criminal types. I somehow wish it would have warded off bad boyfriends, but it seemed to attract them more than anything! Anywho, I still have it, but choose mace over my weapon of choice these days.

Going back to those heels, I do like how the lipstick looks bloody… I shall save my pennies for it!

Heavens!! The Hello Kitty Carnival came to town (Santa Monica, CA) and naturally, I dropped everything and went. Seriously, I was turning Japanese by taking photos of every single detail. Here are a sliver of all the photos I took. It was like Sanrio exploded and each glitter turned into a damn carnival game. It was like the smoke became artwork with it’s own booth. It’s was like Twin Little Stars fluttered from the heavens and said, “Make mine a 99”. It was like…  I’ll stop there. But you get what I mean.

Anyway, there was a mini-golf, ferris wheel, carnival booths, artwork from famous artists, like Joe Ledbetter, a Hello Kitty pop-up shop (with a 2 hour wait to get in) and loads of food trucks, and yummy desserts. Pretty much what I expect in heaven when I kick the bucket. I hope God is taking notes.

Anywho, I wore a vintage mohair cape from Scotland, powder blue Hunter boots, Vivienne Westwood handbag, Benetton argyle knit skirt, and house ring by We Wear. My hair was an unfortunate experiment with my hot curlers- never again.

Director Emmanuel Itier and Sharon Stone

So, I got out of my Pj’s and off the computer to attend a fancy event recently for my husband’s documentary,  ‘The Invocation‘. Emmanuel Itier directed it and Sharon Stone narrated the documentary on Religion around the world and how it effects our world today. Deepak Chopra, Desmund Tutu, Mark Wahlberg, Rosario Dawson, Dave Stewart, and music by Annie Lennox and many many others are all in ‘The Invocation’. The event was The Beverly Hills Film, TV, and New Media Festival and the cast of  ‘The Invocation’ was awarded a Humanitarian Award. Here is a clip of Sharon Stone’s speech that night ( I am on the far left side):

I wore a custom-made (by Lillia) 1950’s-style toile dress (it was upholstery fabric, so it was a little heavy) with a bow (can’t not wear a bow- I’ve tried- doesn’t seem to happen). My necklace was Vivienne Westwood, gloves by Arden B. and my shoes were satin Chanel ballet heels from the spring 2001 collection and the ballet handbag is something I made and can be purchased here. My phone, lipstick, a piece of chocolate, some cash and a credit card fit well in the handbag- that’s it.

For the second night, I wore a flapper-style dress I made ages ago with feather, lace and bead detail. I was feeling a little Boardwalk Empire. I have to say this dress is pretty comfy because the fabric is stretchy cotton. I had just had a delicious meal of half rack of ribs, fries, coleslaw, soda, and a slice of ice cream pie before the event, so it was nice to not have to loosen my belt…my dress just s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d. Love that. You can buy one here on my Etsy.

I did my hair and make up for both events and used Puppycatmeow’s rosettes and braid extension found here. All styling was by moi.

~Today, I turn 29 years old for the 4th time. I’m gonna stuff my face with cupcakes, candies and tea! Yay!!~

This season’s collection was a hodge-podge of great and terrible. The first photo with the face mask is pretty terrible… but the rest are not too bad. Especially, the taffeta heart-shaped tops – really unexpected and beautiful. The candy-striped dress is definitely something I would wear. Basically, if it looks like a carnival costume, I’ll wear it.  Those tights are pretty cool, too. Anyway, I’m glad Viv came away from the hobo-chic plaguing her last few seasons.

Vivienne Westwood and Melissa teamed up again to make adorable shoes for little girls. This time they made a mini-me version of the adult line of women’s shoes they already put out the past few years. My favorite (which I plan on getting for a future mini-me!) pair are blue with a red heart shoes. We would make a fine pair sporting similar shoes. I am delighted, though, that they didn’t add a heel for a prostitot look. I’m so not down with that. Seriously, if you don’t know what to do with the power of heels, you should not wear them. Heels are a fascinating breed of shoes- a weapon, a fashion statement and most of all a weapon. I prefer them to a glock. Anyway, I’m putting in an order for a future mini-me. If I end up with another boy, I think I’m still gonna dress him like a girl.

This is pretty cool. This is Sudanese designer  Omer Asim first collection. He worked with Vivienne Westwood and did costumes for the Harry Potter movies.  Check out his website for his entire collection that are more wearable pleats and stacks. By the way, I think the model needs a drink of water or something.

Vivienne Westwood just gave us a license to mismatch our outfits! Take that Fashion Police! For her Fall 2010 collection, she got back to her punk roots with plaids, kilts and crackhead hair. I love that. I also love the trompe l’oeil boobs in the first photo. Perfect for the ladies with mosquito bites but don’t wanna put fun bags under their skin. In all seriousness (yes, I can get serial!), this is what I (try to) dress like everyday damn day- the ‘high-end punk’ look. You know, the glamourous lady that could eff you up in a back alley with a pair of rhinestoned brass knuckles from Patricia Field’s if need be. Viv is back! Hurray!
